The psychologist also provides assessment and treatment for clients in our residential programs as referred. We are searching for Full Time & Part Time Behavior Technicians to work in our residential programs located in Lakewood, CO. Behavior Technicians provide direct care services to people with behavioral challenges as a result of brain injury. The PRN Speech Language Pathologist provides evaluation and treatment for clients with language expression, speech production, pragmatics, and comprehension difficulties, as well as cognitive changes and swallowing disorders as a result of the neurological disorder or brain injury.   Specific areas of treatment may include, but are not limited to:   - Speech/language, communication, and cognitive needs - Swallowing disorders - Alternative communication methods for clients with little or no speech capability. - Client and family education and coping with neurological disorders. - Adaptive equipment and/or compensatory strategies based on the treatment and discharge plans. - Teaching team members strategies needed to support the client’s treatment plan. - Discharge planning services including modifying strategies for discharge setting, and educating caregivers. - Educational and experiential learning to address assertiveness, self-awareness, interpersonal and social skills, stress management, and communication skills through groups. - Vocational/avocational pursuits providing task analysis, strategies for the job or volunteer site and providing job coaching as needed.
