Learning Services, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapist  for our facilities in Lakewood, Colorado. Learning Services, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner is a growing organization dedicated to excellence, honesty and ethics in the treatment of our clients and each other. For more than 35 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries.We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries. 

 

Hourly Rate: $48-$55 per hour, based upon experience

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Full-Time Occupation Therapist in Lakewood, CO who will provide individual and group services to assist people with function in all of their environments and address the physical, psychological, and cognitive aspects of their well-being through engagement with Occupational Therapist.

 

KEY TASKS:

 

Specific areas of treatment may include but are not limited to: 

  • Upper extremity function training (range of motion, strengthening, tone management, sensation, coordination)
  • Activities of daily living training (self-dressing, self-grooming, toileting, self-feeding)
  • Home management training (laundry, room organization, meal planning and meal preparation)
  • The development of skills needed for independent living such as using community resources, managing one’s home, shopping, money management, managing time, medication and being safe at home and in the community.
  • Sensory processing deficits.
  • Educational and experiential learning to address assertiveness, self-awareness, interpersonal and social skills, stress management, and role development through groups.
  • Vocational/avocational pursuits providing task analysis, strategies for the job or volunteer site and providing job coaching as needed.
  • Adapting the environment at home, work, school and other environments to promote individual’s optimal function.

 

Qualifications

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and state licensure is required; professional certification and or a master’s degree in occupational therapy is preferred.
  • Experience in treatment of neurologically related disorders in community-based settings is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, writing, and time management skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, insurance, and an acceptable driving record must be maintained at all times.
  • Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation, as well as time management skills are required.
