For more than 35 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.  

 

Hourly Rate: $20-$22 per hour, based upon experience

 

Schedule: 2nd shifts available; Saturday and Sunday

Responsibilities

We are searching for part time weekend Behavior Technicians to work in our residential programs located in Lakewood, CO. Behavior Technicians provide direct care services to people with behavioral challenges as a result of brain injury. In addition to aiding residents with their daily activities, Behavior Technicians administer behavioral training and interventions designed to modify residents’ behavior.  These services, delivered continuously throughout the day, may take place in one of our programs or out in the community, and encompass activities related to all aspects of daily living.

 

Duties:

  • Implements facility wide behavioral training as well as individual behavioral protocols, completing the necessary documentation.
  • Models appropriate behavior provides positive reinforcement and corrective feedback on a daily basis.
  • Assists residents in ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living includes bathing, transfers, toileting and physical assistance), assists and participates in physical, vocational and recreational activities.
  • Transports residents to medical appointments, vocational, recreational, educational activities in the community.
  • Administers residents' medication programs.
  • Interacts with residents' family and visitors in the facility and on home visits.
  • Completes all daily needed documentation (i.e. behavioral data, token exchange, shift summaries, house charts, checklists, medication administration records, and incident reports).
  • Completes all housekeeping chores (i.e. laundry, vacuuming, dusting, etc.).

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred. 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained. 
  • The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers is a must. 
  • The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential.
