We are currently seeking a Full Time Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position provides community based behavior analytical services to clients. This role focuses on the functional analysis of behavior, designing treatment plans, staff training, and program implementation/supervision.
- Demonstrates ability to support clients in difficult situations (e.g. refusal of activities, medications, and strategies).
- As scheduled, works directly with the client and provides minimum to maximum assistance and/or supervision to promote the client’s success in achieving identified treatment goals.
- Coordinates scheduling of client treatment sessions with direction from the program.
- Train/educate families, funders, employers, significant others as needed to support the behavior and discharge plan.
- Develops emergent or pre-admission individuals as well as client’s crisis plan immediately upon client admission.
- Develops a client behavior plan to determine appropriate treatment for problematic behaviors and alternative replacement behaviors and presents recommendations to the Ethics committee.
- Interfaces with treatment team to establish priority goals. Targets specific skills with specific reinforcement schedule. Incorporates multiple skills into a comprehensive “readiness” plan with use of criteria checklist.
- Conducts individual counseling sessions with the client to introduce elements of the behavior strategy, review performance, etc.
- Responsible for monitoring the clients behavior plan and progress towards goals; provides problem solving, conflict resolution and revision of strategies, goals and behavior plan as necessary. Utilizes functional analysis inventory and use of functional trials as part of the assessment process. Develops strategies for the job and provides job coaching as needed.
- Recommends and implements data collection elements as dictated by the case. Responsible for analysis of data and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Completes therapy assessments, evaluation documentation, crisis plans and behavior plans according to established time frames. Functional Trials: as a modality for skill building (i.e. acquisition, generalization, maintenance).
- Responsible for teaching other team members behavioral principles related to overall programming elements and specific training about individual client plans and strategies that are being introduced to support the client’s behavior plan.
- Assists RCM and team in discharge planning process, assessing and securing needed services, modifying strategies for discharge setting, and educating caregivers.
- Provides crisis management assistance to clients and program staff as needed.
- Leads groups as appropriate, may include BI education, self awareness, problem solving, communication and mobility issues. Consults through behavior rounds or through specific case referral within program.
- Develop and implement therapy services which meet the needs/goals of clients, the program, interrelate with other disciplines and supports ReMed’s philosophy.
- In collaboration with the RCM/Clinical Specialist/Director, identifies and consults with physicians and other health care providers outside of the primary treatment team as needed.
- Writes monthly treatment plan reports according to guidelines and time frames in the Goal Writing manual and documents therapy sessions on session notes as they occur.
- Assists team in remaining focused on goals and discharge plan.
- Takes responsibility for seeking out current information regarding client’s program and ReMed information (e.g. staff comm., rounds summaries, meeting minutes, client strategies, postings, memos).

Behavior Technicians provide direct care services to people with behavioral challenges as a result of brain injury. In addition to aiding residents with their daily activities, Behavior Technicians administer behavioral training and interventions designed to modify residents’ behavior. These services, delivered continuously throughout the day, may take place in one of our programs or out in the community, and encompass activities related to all aspects of daily living.
Duties:
- Implements facility wide behavioral training as well as individual behavioral protocols, completing the necessary documentation.
- Models appropriate behavior provides positive reinforcement and corrective feedback on a daily basis.
- Assists residents in ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living includes bathing, transfers, toileting and physical assistance), assists and participates in physical, vocational and recreational activities.
- Transports residents to medical appointments, vocational, recreational, educational activities in the community.
- Administers residents' medication programs.
- Interacts with residents' family and visitors in the facility and on home visits.

- Monitors and maintains the collection of medical record forms, documentation and data for the client chart.
- Reviews and updates medical records, and client profiles regularly; ensures all information is accurate.
- Maintains clients’ charts through routine filing and chart management.
- Review and purges all records according to prescribed time table as determined by the clinical team.
- Ensures proper storage of all charts and other clinical documentation within the programs.
- Review and audit chart for necessary documentation and proper order of material.
- Completes pre-audits and ensures chart readiness for outside auditors in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Case Manager and administrative personnel.
- Ensures all forms in the client charts are uniform and conform to accreditation standards and company policies and procedures.
- Maintains listing of current clients in applicable programs and clients admitted/discharged; reviews and updates list as directed.
- Maintains state licensing forms and ensures supporting documentation is completed upon each client admission, and annually as needed.
- In collaboration with the clinical team, monitors all outstanding session and log notes to ensure their completion; prepares same for billing; notified the program management team if documentation is missing.

This position is responsible for overseeing all renovations, repairs, preventive maintenance and construction projects for Learning Services properties. This role holds responsibility for the overall condition and maintenance of the company’s buildings and grounds; and oversees the procurement process and upkeep of necessary equipment and supplies. This position also directly performs routine maintenance, repair work and other related tasks as needed.
- Meets with the Director of Clinical Operations or designee as needed to review and discuss specifications and goals related to current work projects and initiatives, (e.g., scope, costs, prioritization, timelines, etc.)
- Works with the Director of Clinical Operations or designee to determine the best approach toward executing project plans by assigning individual jobs to appropriate external contractors or allocating internal resources to complete all necessary work. With approval from Supervisor, secures two-three bids for all selected work projects to be contracted and assists in the final selection process. Serves as the primary company contact for external contractors and related service providers.
- Responding to work orders and completing needed repairs (involving carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical work, etc.).
- Be available by phone in the evenings and weekends as needed to problem solve and resolve issues if possible.
- Performing preventative maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems, such as flushing out systems, maintenance of heat exchangers, cleaning filters, etc.
- Performs miscellaneous tasks, such as painting (exterior & interior), weather-stripping doors and windows, window/screen repairs, install window shades and blinds, installs and removes air conditioners and storm windows.
- Manages the work order submission process through the company’s web-based property management and maintenance system. If no system is available, then manage the work orders by paper. Reviews the work orders with the direct supervisor on a regular basis.

- Ensures all outside contractors submit current liability insurance and sign and understand the Confidentiality Agreement for each contracted job.
- Works with Director of Clinical Operations or designee to ensure that all Learning Services properties and buildings are in compliance with local city/municipality zoning ordinances and building codes.
- Monitors and assesses all activities handled by contractors and external service providers to verify that work is managed and performed safely, and in compliance with all applicable zoning ordinances, building codes or other regulations (e.g., BOCA, ADA, etc.). Directs work flow of contractors so as to ensure maximum productivity and minimum disruption of core business processes and operational/clinical activities.
- Ensures that all work performed by contractors and external service providers is completed according to Learning Services quality specifications and adheres to predetermined contract requirements and/or service level agreements. Proactively follows-up on identified problems or work deficiencies as needed.

Major Functions:
- Coordinates all unit activities, provides direct feedback to neurobehavioral Counselors/Techs regarding client care and implementation of Transdiscipinary Plans.
- Observes, reports and records client's behavior providing modeling for neurobehavioral counselors/techs and feedback to the Behavior Program Coordinator as requested.
- Assists in the delivery of physical care as needed. Provides training to neurobehavioral counselors/techs as needed.
